Intrigue Pre-School Gymnastics Program

Our Preschool program is designed for both our boy and girl aspiring athletes.

Parent Tot:  Our Parent Tot Program is designed for our aspiring little flippers, introducing them to gymnastics apparatus and fundamental gymnastics elements.  Little athletes 18 months to 3 years of age are allowed to participate in the wonderful world of gymnastics in a comfortable and positive environment along with their parent/parents.  Along with basic gymnastic skills, our Parent Tot athletes will learn counting, the alphabet, colors, gross motor coordination, balance, which are all geared toward strengthening their little bodies while having the time of their lives!!  These athletes will get the opportunity to jump on our trampolines, climb & swing on ropes, jump into our foam pit and much more!!

Our Parent Tot Classes are 45 minutes in duration for a monthly cost of $60.00

Pre-School Gymnastics:  Our Pre-School Gymnastics Classes are an extension of the Parent Tot Program, apart from our athletes being in the class without their parent in the gym.  Of course, the viewing area is available for you to watch your athlete’s class, parents will not be involved in the class though.  All athletes between the ages 3 and 5 are welcome to attend our Pre-School Gymnastics Classes.  These classes focus on the basics of gymnastics, while still incorporating the fun aspect of our sport.  Obstacle courses will be used to teach our Pre-School Gymnasts how to perform some basic gymnastics elements while also teaching them how to follow instructions properly.  This will ensure that they know how to get around the gym safely!!  We will utilize all four gymnastic apparatus, the Vault Table, the Uneven Parallel Bars, the Balance Beam, and the Floor Exercise.

Intrigue Recreational Gymnastics Program

Our Recreational Gymnastics Program is designed for athletes of any ability, ages 6 and up.

Beginner Gymnastics:  Our Beginner Gymnastics Classes are designed for any athlete who is interested in getting into our gym and learn the fundamental of our great sport!!  All ages and abilities are welcome to come in for a free trial class to see why gymnastics is an exciting way to keep your athletes healthy and happy!  Gymnastics not only assists athletes in excelling in any sport, it is a competitive sport as well!  Whether you are interested in keeping your athletes healthy during the off-season or interested in your beginner athlete becoming part of Team Intrigue, our beginner program is the place for your athletes needs!  Focus on strength and flexibility incorporated with more advanced skills on the four gymnastics apparatus will ensure a solid foundation for all athletes to build on.

Elements Beginner Classes will focus on:

1. Strength and Flexibility:  Tuck, Pike, and Straddle body positions with the correct form.  Right/Left and Middle splits.  Upper/Lower back flexibility along with hollow body push-ups and hollow body rocks.
2. Vault:  Sprinting Drills, springboard technique, and hollow body hand stand flat backs onto proper matting.
3. Bars:  Chin-Up/Hanging Pike Holds for 10 seconds, glide swings, Chin-Up Pull over, casting, Front/Back Hip Circles, as well as proper swinging technique.
4. Beam:  Releve walks, dips/dip kick leg raises, straight/tuck/straddle/pike jumps, low beam handstands, and low beam cartwheels.
5. Floor:  Forward Rolls, handstands, handstand forward rolls/front limber, handstand snap downs, good and challenging side cartwheels, one arm cartwheels.  With a spot, aerials, back/front walkover, back/front handspring, and round-offs.

Mobility for all of our Recreational Gymnastics Classes is decided by our instructor’s recommendations.

Our Beginner Gymnastics Classes are 1 hour in duration for a monthly cost $60.00

Intermediate Gymnastics Classes:  Our Intermediate Gymnastics Classes will introduce extensions and progressions of skills that were focused on in our Beginner Gymnastics Classes.  Strength and flexibility will remain a focus in this class, building on the strength and flexibility gained from our Beginner Classes.

Elements Intermediate Classes will Focus On:

1. Strength and Flexibility:  Increase in the duration of hold on Right/Left and Middle splits, along with greater lower/upper back flexibility expectations.
2. Vault:  Faster/more powerful sprinting ability.  Dive roll/handstand flat back vaults.  Front flips into foam pit.  Introduce the vaulting table.
3. Bars:  Chin-Up pullovers with minimal spot.  Back/front hip circles with minimal spot.  Tap swings into fly away timers to their backs into our foam pit.
4. Beam:  Releve walks, alternating kicks, handstands, side handstands, cartwheels with spot high beam.
5. Floor:  Review of fundamental elements for increased foundation.  Right/Left side cartwheels, right/left one armed cartwheels/ right/left far armed cartwheels, front/back walkovers, round offs, back-handsprings and running elements.

Our Advanced Gymnastics Classes are offered by invite only and at our instructor’s discretion.  If you have an athlete that might be interested in learning more advanced gymnastics elements, please call today for a tryout!!
